Ten-Time GRAMMY Winner Arturo Sandoval Brings a "Swinging Holiday" to SFJAZZ

Trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, a ten-time GRAMMY winner and a founding member of the groundbreaking Afro-Cuban band Irakere, returns to SFJAZZ with his Swinging Holiday program. Known for dizzying high notes, impeccable ballad playing, and deep roots in both bebop and Cuban music, Sandoval treats seasonal standards as springboards for improvisation.

His band reshapes familiar melodies with Latin rhythms, blues inflections, and hard-swinging ensemble work, moving from tender to electrifying over the course of a set. It is a chance to hear one of modern jazz's most celebrated trumpeters in full festive mode.
