Experience Sachal Vasandani's Conversational Storytelling Up Close

Sachal Vasandani

Vocalist Sachal Vasandani brings his intimate, genre-fluid approach to the Joe Henderson Lab for a two-set evening. Praised for his supple phrasing and easy command of a room, he moves between straight-ahead standards, singer-songwriter material, and striking original songs.

Drawing from albums such as Eyes Wide Open, We Move, Still Life, and more recent work that blurs the lines between jazz and contemporary pop, Vasandani tailors his sets to the mood of the audience. In SFJAZZ's most intimate space, his storytelling, dynamic control, and conversational stage presence land with particular force.
