50 Years of Funk & Brass: Dirty Dozen Fuses Street Beats and Bebop for NYE

New Orleans institution Dirty Dozen Brass Band closes out the year at SFJAZZ with a New Year's Eve party steeped in second-line tradition. Celebrating 50 years as a band, they fuse classic brass-band street beats with bebop lines, funk grooves, and soul-infused horn arrangements.

These NYE shows blend the group's high-energy music with a full SFJAZZ celebration, including sparkling wine, party favors, and a balloon drop as the late set approaches midnight. It invites you to welcome 2026 with sousaphone bass lines, snare drum cadences, and joyful call-and-response choruses filling Miner Auditorium.
